Reviews for "A Christmas Carol" at the Birmingham Rep directed by Nikolai Foster and choreographed by Nick Winston.

THE TIMES **** "The Fezziwigs’ party ushers in a number as bouncily “oom-pah” as anything by Lionel Bart, and Nick Winston’s heel-kicking, witty choreography rises to such occasions with alacrity."

BIRMINGHAM POST "Nick Winston’s choreography, is the right stuff to send you out into a cold winter night."

THE PUBLIC REVIEWS "Brilliant choreography from Nick Winston ensured each scene that Scrooge experienced had a different dynamic and feel. Ranging from the quiet and simple choreography of christmasses past to bright elaborate dances associated with christmas present."

THE STAGE "beautifully choreographed"

THE TELEGRAPH **** "This darkly delightful show"

The Adventures Of Pinocchio
This fantastical tale brings to life the wooden boy who wants to be good, but just can't stay out of trouble. Guided by the Blue Fairy, Pinocchio has lots to learn before he can discover the secret to becoming a real boy. Along the way he is tricked by the Fox and the Cat, squishes the well-meaning Cricket, has his lying nose pecked by woodpeckers, is captured in the Big Green Fisherman's net and is even turned into a performing donkey at a circus. Jonathan Dove's exhilarating music is paired with magical stagecraft and storybook scenery. This family opera is an American premiere, suitable for children who aren't afraid of the dark.
